Name: A small yangcai brush pot inscribed with imperial poems on the Eight Views of Yanjing
Period: Qing dynasty, Qianlong reign

The Eight Views of Yanjing were celebrated scenic sites in the Beijing–Tianjin region during the Qing dynasty. In 1751, the Qianlong emperor formally named them: Autumn Breeze over Taiye Lake; Spring Shade on Qiong Island; Evening Glow at the Golden Terrace; Misty Trees at Jimen; Clear Snow on the Western Hills; Gushing Spring at Jade Spring; Dawn Moon over Lugou Bridge; and Layered Greenery at Juyong Pass. He composed poems commemorating the views and had them carved on stone monuments erected at the eight locations.
