Item No.: 1785
Name: A three-piece Cizhou ware green-glazed set with dragons and phoenixes
Period: Song dynasty
Height: 12.0–20.0 cm
Three distinct forms make up this green-glazed set. Their bodies, spouts, handles, and covers create varied silhouettes, while dragon and phoenix decoration gives the group visual unity. Comparing the openings and the placement of handles and spouts reveals how the requirements of holding and pouring liquids can become part of an expressive decorative design.
